Y. Sakamoto et al., CHARACTERISTICS OF A NEW ORTHOGONAL CORE TYPE INDUCTION-MOTOR HAVING INTERESTING FEATURES, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 29(6), 1993, pp. 3159-3161
This paper describes the structure and the basic operations of a new o
rthogonal-core type motor, which can effectively utilize the local ene
rgies such as wind and solar power. For this motor, the rotational dir
ection, rotational speed and supplied powers are easily controlled by
adjusting the phase angle between the primary and secondary voltages.
The motor can be used as a speed controlling device or a multi-functio
nal power controlling device in industrial applications and power conv
ersion systems in the future.
