Abstract
We report on a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus who developed a shrinking lung syndrome. The dyspnoea of the patient and the result s of pulmonary function tests significantly improved during treatment, vith theophylline 750 mg daily. This is the first report of a successf ul treatment of the shrinking lung syndrome with theophylline.
