A new method that determines kinetic parameters from crystallization e
xperiments (either batch or continuous) on a consistent basis is propo
sed, thus making it possible to obtain parameter values from batch mea
surements for the design of continuous crystallizers. The method also
resolves the uncertainties arising from the use of commercial particle
counters with different degree of accuracy. Experimental data obtaine
d from stirred vessels and fluidized bed crystallizers were found to s
upport the method.
