Va. Nesterov et al., INSTALLATION FOR INVESTIGATING STRUCTURES EXCITED BY RESONANT VIBRATIONS, Instruments and experimental techniques, 36(4), 1993, pp. 621-624
An optical technique is used to detect remotely structural vibrations
when its natural frequencies are changed. The introduction of positive
feedback causes the self-excited vibrations of the structure. The ins
tallation efficiency was examined experimentally at a distance up to 5
00 m with a vibration amplitude of 0.1-5 mm. The scope for the optical
determination of vibration parameters of real structures with a rough
surface was analyzed.
