Abstract
The tin atom is bis[3-(2-pyridyl)-2-thienyl]di-p-tolylstannane is six- coordinate in a distorted cis-octahedral geometry owing to coordinatio n by the pyridyl nitrogen atoms (Sn<-N=2.620(5), 2.631(5)Angstrom).
