Abstract
The angular distribution of fluorescence for several natural oceanic p hytoplankton cultures was measured in the laboratory: Of the six cultu res examined, only Dunaliela tertiolecta exhibited measurable anisotro py. The anisotropy in this case was approximately 20%.
