The effect of light illumination on spectral and current-carrying prop
erties of YBa2Cu3O6+delta epitaxial films with different oxygen index
a has been considered. It has been shown that within the range of 0.5
< delta < 0.75 the illumination leads both to resistance decreasing an
d changes of absorption spectrum equivalent to oxygen index rise. It h
as been also shown that even delta > 0.75 light illumination effects t
he current-carrying characteristics of the films. It causes changing o
f critical current density while the temperature dependence of resista
nce is left unchanged.
