Abstract
Low-frequency electron temperature and density oscillations in a cylin drical magnetoplasma are analysed numerically. Special attention is at tached to the case of electron temperature and density gradients of op posite sign, which appear in rf-ring discharges. To guarantee best pos sible description of experimental findings, the analysis includes ambi polar electric fields, ion inertia and radial phase shifts of the pert urbed plasma quantities, as a consequence of which spiral structures a ppear. The formalism is restricted neither to magnetized nor to cold i ons.
