Abstract
Special geometries of electrodes were designed to determine the domina nt mechanism of surface charge accumulation. It was found that the cha rge transport in the gas is dominant, and consequently, the normal fie ld at spacer surfaces as well as the ionization behaviour at electrode surfaces play important roles in charge accumulation in SF6.
