Results on attenuation of radio waves in frequencies between 10 GHz an
d 400 GHz for different rain rates are presented. The results were der
ived on the basis of rain rates measured over Delhi by using a rapid r
esponse rain gauge. The values of attenuation deduced by using the mea
sured rain-rate data are more than those obtained by using the rain-ra
te data given in Radiometeorological Data, CCIR Report No. 563-4, 1990
.
