The essential structural parameters of immune processes in C57BL/6 mic
e bearing B16 melanoma have been investigated by the morphometrical me
thod. The integral characteristic of the immune system under myelopidu
m action on tumorigenesis at the latent, settling and progression stag
es is given. Activity of the T-cellular system is characterized by lym
phocyte generation and cellularity in the thymus and T-zones of the ly
mph nodes as well as by the generation/death ratio. Activity of the B-
cellular system is characterized by the size of the germinal centres a
nd spleen plasmocyte zones, composition of the plasmacyte pool in the
lymph nodes. The ratio of activities of T-cellular to B-cellular syste
ms has been analyzed as well. The possibility of myelopidum clinical a
pplication at early stages of tumorigenesis when antitumour immunity i
s enhanced by the drug is shown. The authors substantiate the danger o
f the myelopidum treatment during the tumor progress when the T-cell a
ctivity peak is changed by severe deficiency, which in combination wit
h continuous activation of the B-cellular system aggravates the unfavo
urable prognosis.
