Abstract
Plaxant, a new platinum compound injected intravenously (iv) of mice w ith HA-1 tumour metastases in the liver in a dose of 360 mg/kg gave ri se to 35.7 % lethality caused by general toxicity and prolonged the li fe span of the other mice by 61.9 % as compared to the control. Fracti onal intraperitoneal administration of free plaxant had no advantages as compared to iv injection. The same dose of plaxant encapsulated in liposomes after iv administration caused no lethality but increased th e life span of mice by 91.5 %.
