Abstract
The neighborhoods of nine bright pulsars in the northern hemisphere we re studied with the WSRT aperture-synthesis system at 1400 and 4874 MH z, with a view toward detecting reference radio sources for future VLB I observations of pulsars. A list of detected reference sources is giv en, together with recommendations for their use in VLBI observations.
