Abstract
Analysis of cosmic ray fluctuations during the solar activity cycle (1 980-1990) shows the presence of a significant correlation between the amplitude of cosmic ray fluctuations and the level of solar activity ( Wolf number). We propose that this correlation is due to cosmic ray mo dulation by magnetosonic turbulence, which evolves in a similar manner during the solar cycle.
