B. Reichert et al., THE ONE-PARAMETER MODEL DISCUSSED WITH RESPECT TO ITS APPLICATION AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES, Computational materials science, 7(1-2), 1996, pp. 68-74
The current paper outlines the concept of the constitutive equations o
f the 'one-parameter model' describing the inelastic mechanical behavi
or of metals. It concentrates on the version developed for a high temp
erature alloy, INCOLOY alloy 800H(1), characterized by a time dependen
t evolution of precipitates. The way in which this constitutive equati
on models the behavior of the alloy taking in due consideration the pr
ecipitation and ripening of carbides is discussed. Constant strain rat
e and creep test results for alloy 800H are used as guiding data for t
he calculations.
