Abstract
The competition of the processes responsible for muonic hydrogen deexc itation and charge exchange is considered for various isotopic mixture s. The energy dependence as well as the n-dependence of the process ra tes are analyzed in the framework of the WKB method. Electron screenin g is taken into account.
