Fluoroalkylated oligomers with carbon-carbon bond formation were prepa
red by the reactions of fluoroalkanoyl peroxides with acrylic acid and
ethylene oxide units-containing methacrylates. These fluorinated olig
omers were found to be soluble in hydrocarbon oligomer solutions. The
fluorinated oligomers reacted with the usual epoxy and melamine curing
agents to afford the curing films. These films exhibited surface prop
erties typical of the amphiphiles.
