Abstract
A new mechanism for the transformation of long-wavelength acoustic wav es into electromagnetic ones in partially ionized plasmas is suggested . It is shown that an acoustic wave involves in collective motion char ged particles of media by means of collisions. Relative motion of char ged particles excites the alternating current with arbitrary phase and , consequently, there occurs parametric generation of electromagnetic fields. The growth rates, excitement tresholds, spectra and polarizati on of electromagnetic disturbances are determined.
