In this study we report on our continued investigation of particulate
dispersion characterisation using magnetic measurement techniques. A f
ully automated vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) was used to measure
the reverse demagnetisation remanence curves of a 'wet' metal particl
e dispersion as a function of dispersion milling time. Theoretical int
erpretation of the data using a Brownian motion relaxation mechanism i
ndicates that increases in milling time significantly reduce the mean
size of the particle aggregates.
