Abstract
In order to increase recording density, mark length recording is super ior to mark position one. However, in the case of magneto-optical medi a it is difficult to control mark edge position and shape because of i ts higher thermal conductivity. A new write control method using the m ultiple pulse write waveform was proposed, and it is shown that high d ensity of 880/Mb/ in(2) can be realized using this write control metho d.
