Abstract
X-ray emission spectra of zinc ions (lambda is similar to 0.65 - 1.18 nn) excited in a plasma produced by Nd laser radiation have been inves tigated. The wavelengths are measured to an accuracy of +/- 0.3 pm and the observed spectra are identified. Detailed calculations allowed us to identify also the spectral lines associated with the radiative dec ay of self-ionized states of Na-like zinc ions.
