Abstract
Because of the steady increase in bankruptcy filings across the nation , transactional banking lawyers should be aware of the ramifications a bankruptcy filing can have on both a lender and a borrower. Several r ecent developments in bankruptcy law in the areas of debtor-in-possess ion financing, preferential transfers, and confirmation of a plan of r eorganization are of particular relevance to a commercial finance atto rney. This article discusses some noteworthy recent bankruptcy cases t hat will have an impact in the commercial lending industry.
