The excess enthalpies of four ternary liquid mixtures of benzene, tolu
ene, chlorobenzene and 1,4-dioxane with cyclohexane in chloroform have
been calculated from the internal pressure data. For the first time t
he Flory's theory has been used to determine the enthalpies of ternary
liquid mixtures. On comparison a good agreement is found in all the m
ixtures. The calculated excess internal pressure and enthalpy have bee
n used to discuss the results in terms of intermolecular interactions
between the components of ternary liquid mixtures.
