Abstract
New, rigid and water soluble analogues (3-6) of coleonol (forskolin) h ave been synthesized and tested for their antihypertensive activity. A mong all the compounds tested, only compound 4 exhibits some hypotensi ve activity. It shows 64 mm Hg fall in blood pressure at a dose of 0.5 mg and 2.5 mg/kg, i.v. for 5 and 14 min respectively.
