Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare but potentially lethal, rapidly progre
ssive, soft-tissue infection. Cure is dependent on early diagnosis and
prompt surgical intervention. A case of necrotizing fasciitis in a pa
tient after cesarean section is herein reported and the treatment and
outcome discussed. An extensive review of the literature revealed a si
ngle case report of necrotizing fasciitis after cesarean section.
