Peyronies disease of the penis is characterised by pain and deformity
on erection with a palpable fibrous plaque. The penile deformity may p
revent normal sexual intercourse requiring surgical intervention. A re
view of 16 patients treated over an 8 year period shows that 11 of 12
patients treated surgically had a satisfactory outcome. The Nesbit pro
cedure is the treatment of choice for marked lateral penile angulation
due to Peyronies disease.
