The AA carried out an investigation in order to detect the presence of
Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. in some food samples taken i
n the area of Livorno. on 442 samples tested the 10.9% was contaminate
d by L. monocytogenes and the 29.9% by Listeria spp. The AA., consider
ing the high incidence of L. monocytogenes, suggest a prevailing contr
ol on ready to use and fresh products.
