The oxalatooxoperoxo complexes of vanadium(V) [N(CH3)4]3[VO(O2)(C2O4)2
] . 1.8H2O . 0.2H2O2, [N(CH3)4]3[VO(O2)2(C2O4)] . 3H2O, and [N(C2H5)4]
[VO(O2)(C2O4)] . 0.5H2O were prepared. While the first two complexes a
re analogous to the corresponding monomeric complexes with alkali meta
l cations, the third one differs from all the known oxalatooxoperoxova
nadates in the stoichiometry and properties and has probably a polymer
ic structure. Tetrabutylammonium complexes, the existence of which in
solution can be supposed based on spectrophotometric measurements, wer
e not obtained in the solid state.
