Abstract
Potential mineralogical compositions of basic refractories attainable by mixing of two magnesite clinkers of different composition have been computed. Redox conditions during burning were considered in calculat ions. The procedure used enables to choose the optimal proportion of b oth clinkers with respect to the presence and function of phases occur ring in minor amounts in the planned product.
