Abstract
The direct complexation of eight various heterocycles with Cr(CO)6 und er ethyl formate catalysis was studied. Higher or comparable yields of complexes were reached in less than 4.25 h time in comparison with pu blished uncatalyzed procedures which need long reaction time. This met hod failed in the case of N-methylpyrrole, furan, and 4-amino-2-methyl quinoline. When benzoxazole and benzimidazole were complexed, the main products did not have the desired structure.
