Abstract
Ruthenium(III) chloride and ruthenium(IV) oxide have been reduced to u nsupported ruthenium catalyst powders. The texture and properties of t he catalysts were studied by SEM, XRD and BET techniques. The activity of the catalysts was tested in the liquid phase hydrogenation of benz ene to cyclohexene and cyclohexane.
