Abstract
We have studied the operational conditions which allow the synthesis g as to hydrocarbon transformation in only one step using Pd supported o ver an amorphous silica-alumina catalyst. The increase of temperature, pressure and time factor favors carbon monoxide conversion. methanol synthesis reaction can be considered as the limiting step of the overa ll process. The product distribution is governed by the reaction mediu m (type and distribution of active sites and the presence of hydrogen) .
