Abstract
This paper discusses features of the diffraction of light at acoustic waves in a moving medium. Possible techniques are considered for a las er-based acoustooptic meter that make it possible to provide a small l ower limit of measurements of flow velocities of 10(0)-10(-2) mm/sec f or homogeneous media, mainly liquids.
