Abstract
Laser emission from the proton-transfer dye (6)-methoxycarbonyl-2-(5'- fluoro-2'-hydroxyphenyl) benzimidazole, pumped by the third harmonic o f a Nd:YAG laser (355 nm), has been observed, with a 16% efficiency an d a tunable range of 60 nm. The optical properties of this dye, both i n fluid solution and in solid polymeric samples, are also reported.
