Abstract
Reactions with the spin structure 1+ + 0+ --> 0+ + 0- have properties which allow an absolute determination of \iT11\ via measurement of two of the tensor analyzing powers. Vector analyzing powers of the C-12(L i-6 over arrow pointing right, alpha3)N-14 reaction are deduced to acc uracies of about 6% from measurements of the tensor analyzing powers T 20 and T21 at E(Li) = 33 MeV. The vector analyzing power in Li-6 over arrow pointing right + He-4 elastic scattering is measured at E(c.m.) = 6.2 MeV and theta(c.m.) = 150-degrees, establishing a secondary stan dard convenient for fast monitoring of Li-6 vector polarization.
