Abstract
Fourier Transform-Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (FT-EPR) has been us ed in a study of photo-induced hydrogen abstraction reactions giving t he acetone ketyl radical (CH3)(2)COH (or (CD3)(2)COD). The study ident ifies CIDEP mechanisms that contribute to the time evolution of the sp ectra and provides information on magnitudes of spin polarization. Fur thermore, the time evolution of the spectra gives values of spin-latti ce relaxation rates as well as radical formation and decay rates.
