HUNT - A SIMULATION OF PREDATOR SEARCHING BEHAVIOR

Predator-prey Interactions ore dynamic processes often represented in algebraic terms. A computer program is described which gives a visual display of the pattern of capture of prey by a predator. The distribut ion of the prey and behaviour of the predator may be varied and the ef fect of these changes on success is recorded. This may be an old to vi sualizing the factors involved in developing on optimal searching stra tegy.
