The characteristics of heat- and mass-transfer processes in a system f
or the evaporative heat shielding of a structure in the form of an enc
losure formed by two plane parallel baseplates and furnished with an o
utlet are investigated by numerical modeling, where different values o
f the heat flux are specified on the baseplates. Transfer phenomena in
layers of a moisture-saturated capillary-porous material coating the
inner surfaces of the baseplates of the enclosure and the heat and mas
s transfer between these layers are analyzed for one set of governing
parameters of the problem and for time-dependent external heat fluxes
and pressure.
