Abstract
A new triphenyl-type sesquineolignan, named simonsinol (1), was isolat ed from the bark of Illicium simonsii and its structure was elucidated based on the detailed analysis of its H-1- and C-13-NMR spectre. A ne w biphenylneolignan, named isomagnolone (5), was also isolated and its structure was determined by the analysis of the two dimensional (2D) NMR spectre.
