Abstract
Simultaneous detection of in-plane and out-of-plane ultrasonic displac ements by a two-channel confocal Fabry-Perot optical receiver is descr ibed. Accuracy is tested by measuring the in-plane and out-of-plane di splacements produced by Rayleigh surface waves generated by a piezoele ctric transducer and a laser.
