Abstract
The synthesis and the X-ray structure of 2,2',2''-trimethoxytriphenyla mine are described. It is used as a molecular subunit in chirally twis ted derivatives which consist of both siloxane and silatrane moieties. The name ''siloxatrane'' is proposed to designate such compounds.
