Abstract
The authors propose an all-optical linearisation scheme for suppressio n of nonlinear distortion in semiconductor optical amplifiers. First e xperimental results show better than 10dB reduction of second order ha rmonic distortion of an amplified sinusoidally amplitude modulated sig nal.
