Abstract
A source of near transform limited pulses (Delta t Delta f similar or equal to 0.38) with pulse widths around 15ps, at a repetition rate of 10GHz, is realised using strong filtered self-injection of a gain swit ched Fabry-Perot laser; this is achieved using a fibre loop feedback s etup. The output is tunable over 11nm using the tunable filter in the fibre loop.
