E. Manessizoupa et al., THE VIBRATIONAL-SPECTRA OF COMPLEXES WITH PLANAR MONOTHIOOXAMIDES .3.THE PALLADIUM(II) COMPLEXES OF NEUTRAL MONOTHIOOXAMIDES, Spectroscopy letters, 27(1), 1994, pp. 97-118
The new complexes trans-[PdX(2)(H(4)MTO)(2)] (X= Cl, Br, l), trans-[Pd
X(2)(H(3)MMTO)(2)] (X= Cl, Br, l), trans-[PdX(2)(SH3)(2)] (X= Cl, Br,
l), [Pd(H(4)MTO)(4)]Cl-2 and [Pd(H(3)MMTO)(4)]Cl-2, where H(4)MTO= mon
othiooxamide, H(3)MMTO = N(o)-methylmonothiooxamide and SH3 = N(s)-met
hylmonothiooxamide, have been prepared. The complexes were characteriz
ed by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, X-ray powder patt
erns, thermal methods and spectroscopic (UV/VIS, FT-IR, Laser-Raman) s
tudies. The vibrational analysis of the complexes is given using NH/ND
and CH3/CD3 isotopic substitutions. Monomeric square planar structure
s are assigned for the complexes in the solid state. The neutral monot
hiooxamides behave as monodentate ligands coordinating through their t
hioamide sulfur atom. The complex [Pd(SH2)(2)] was isolated during the
thermal decomposition of trans - [PdCl2(SH3)(2)].
