T. Perezruiz et al., FLOW-INJECTION DETERMINATION OF OXALATE BY A PHOTOINDUCED CHEMILUMINESCENT REACTION, Analytica chimica acta, 284(1), 1993, pp. 173-179
A new approach for the sensitive determination of oxalate was develope
d. Iron(II) generated in the photochemical decomposition of iron(III)-
oxalate complex was measured by its catalysis of the chemiluminescent
luminol reaction in the abscence of added oxidant. A flow-injection co
nfiguration is proposed for the determination of oxalate over a concen
tration range of 1.0 x 10(-7)-1.0 x 10(-4) M with a throughput of 30 s
amples/h. The effect of a large number of potential interferents was i
nvestigated and a method devised for the determination of oxalate in u
rine.
