Abstract
The design and performance of Te-99m chelates that are used for brain perfusion SPECT imaging relates to their extraction efficiency by brai n and their degree of cerebral retention. The influence of chelate str ucture on BBB penetration and intracellular trapping mechanisms are di scussed.
