Abstract
The heating rate dependent crystallization temperature of a-Si was cal culated from the transient period of the crystallization processes in isothermal conditions. A model for the glass transition in a-Si was pr oposed based on the continuous random network model. Results are summa rized in a phase diagram describing transient phases and their transit ion temperatures as a function of the heating rate.
