Abstract
The results of an investigation of the interference structure of the l ow-frequency acoustic field in the vertical plane during wave propagat ion in an ocean waveguide are used to show that the coherence of the f ield is not determined by random inhomogeneities of the medium, but by the regular parameters of the waveguide.
