Abstract
The genus Schinostethus Waterhouse is revised. To the three named spec ies and one subspecies (S. brevis brevis [Lewis], S. brevis takeuchii [Nakane], S. opacus [Waterhouse] ,S. nigricornis Waterhouse), four new species and one subspecies are added: S. minutus, n. sp.; S. niger, n . sp.; S. flabellatus, n. sp.; S. satoi, n. sp.; and S. satoi junghuae nsis, n. ssp. Descriptions of the immature stages and ecology of S. sa toi are also included.
