Ah. Toor et Ms. Zubairy, EFFECTS OF FINITE BANDWIDTH ON THE RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE-SPECTRUM INSIDE OF A CAVITY, Physical review. A, 49(1), 1994, pp. 449-460
We have considered the steady-state resonance fluorescence spectrum fo
r a beam of two-level atoms, interacting with a strong driving field w
ith a finite bandwidth inside a cavity, The competitive effects of cav
ity losses and the finite bandwidth of the intense driving laser beam
on the resonance fluorescence spectrum have been discussed. Our result
s show that the usual three-peaked resonance fluorescence spectrum sta
rts merging back into the central peak as the bandwidth of the driving
field increases. Moreover, the asymmetry introduced by the detuning o
f the driving field having a finite bandwidth is also affected by the
cavity losses.
